COLLATERAL LOANS · PROVIDED BY SDJB

Your watch.
A considered loan.

Ask San Diego Jewelry Buyers about borrowing against an eligible watch. The reference, condition, originality and available records help the team assess the watch and explain your options.

Your item is held as collateral. Written terms apply.

BEFORE AN AMOUNT CAN BE DISCUSSED

What the team needs to understand.

01

Model and reference

The exact watch matters more than the brand name alone. Share the model or reference if you know it; you can start without either.

02

Condition and originality

Tell the team about service history, replacement parts, polishing and any running issues. Inspection helps establish what is present.

03

Accessories and records

Bring spare bracelet links, original box, warranty card and service records if available. Missing papers are a reason to discuss the details, not invent them.

Eligibility and an offer depend on the actual item and the lender’s requirements. A photo can begin a conversation; it cannot complete the evaluation.

Prepare for your evaluation

BEFORE YOU SIGN

Understand the path
to getting it back.

The item secures the loan and stays with the lender under the agreement. To recover it, you must meet the agreement’s repayment requirements. Failure to redeem can result in losing the item.

  • Ask for the amount offered, interest, fees and total repayment.
  • Confirm the due date, redemption steps and what happens if payment is late.
  • Ask how your particular item and its accessories will be recorded and held.
  • Confirm the lender’s identity and the terms that apply to your transaction.

Read the loan information before deciding. This is a loan inquiry, not approval or a rate quote.

From inquiry to a decision.

01

Tell us about your item

Start with what you know. You don’t need a model number or an appraisal to begin.

02

Meet your buyer

Your item is examined in person. Ask questions about the evaluation and your options.

03

Decide with the details

Review the amount, costs and repayment terms before choosing a loan.

Questions before borrowing.

Can I keep wearing the item?

No. The lender holds the item as collateral until it is redeemed according to the agreement.

Does an appraisal tell me the amount I can borrow?

No. An appraisal may serve a different purpose. The lending assessment and written agreement determine the offered amount and terms.

What if I am uncertain about repaying?

Discuss that before borrowing. A collateral loan has costs and a risk of losing the item if you do not redeem it. Selling is a separate option if you are ready to part with it.
