Start with what needs attention.
At SDJB, ask about ring sizing, prongs and loose stones, chains and clasps, restoration and other jewelry repairs. Bring the whole piece and any loose parts.
Agree on the work before it begins.
The team examines the item, discusses the repair and explains the estimate and expected timing. Tell us about earlier work and any date you are working toward. Some repairs depend on materials, condition or parts.
Repair, redesign or sell?
If you no longer wear the piece, you can discuss repairing it, changing the design or selling it. An heirloom may offer a way to retain a meaningful stone in a new setting.
Your service location.
Repair inquiries currently go to the full-service SDJB store at 907 Sixth Avenue. New branches will list their own services when they open. Repair intake and transport arrangements for those branches are still being planned.
